ALEX CARIVEAU brings over a decade of experience in financial leadership, restructuring, and advisory services, with a strong foundation in both consulting and in-house roles. He has held positions such as Controller and Director of Finance, providing him with practical insights and credibility when working alongside management teams. His industry expertise spans manufacturing, trucking, entertainment, and food & beverage.
Alex’s skillset includes leading interim roles such as Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) and managing receiverships. He excels in working capital optimization, financial forecasting, cost accounting, stakeholder negotiations, analytics, and financial consolidation, often guiding businesses through debt restructuring, distressed operations, and liquidation scenarios.
Throughout his career, Alex has delivered meaningful results. At Compass Electronics Solutions, he oversaw the divestiture of the company through four transactions, ensuring financial transparency and smooth communication with buyers and lenders. Following the divestiture, Alex joined discoverIE Group plc, where he restructured the finance department, introducing new reporting processes and improving profitability.
Before joining Novo Advisors, Alex was Director of FP&A at Compass Electronics Solutions, where he managed financial operations across multiple U.S. and Mexican facilities. Earlier in his career, he served as Director of Finance for the Seattle Seahawks, overseeing event accounting, labor analytics, and launching an in-house food and beverage operation.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance from the University of North Dakota. He previously maintained a CPA certification in Washington.
Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Alex balances his consulting career with family life and continuous professional growth. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, music, and spending time with family and friends.
