Rian Branning is a Partner with Novo Advisors and has more than 20 years of experience in providing interim management, performance improvement, and restructuring and turnaround services. From an industry perspective, his experience includes, but is not limited to, aerospace, manufacturing, consumer goods, distribution, horticulture, automotive, telecommunications, specialty finance and retail.
Rian has led many interim management and performance improvement engagements. His experience includes working with companies to identify cost reduction strategies, developing long-term financial projections, streamlining the month-end accounting closing process, and advising on opportunities to improve financial and operational reporting. He has developed a variety of financial analyses, including customer and product-level profitability, pricing and contribution margin analytics, short-term liquidity projections, break-even analysis and cost accounting studies.
Prior to joining Novo Advisors, Rian was most recently a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring practice and spent nine years assisting clients in interim management, performance improvement, and restructuring and turnaround strategies.
Rian also worked at PepsiCo in their Sales Finance department. His responsibilities primarily included financial planning and analysis and developing pricing strategies for the Gatorade and Snacks business units. Rian also held various positions with Ernst & Young in the Business Risk Services practice in Chicago. Rian started his career at Dana Corporation, where he held various finance and accounting positions.
Rian holds a B.S. in finance from Indiana University. He is an active member of the local chapter of the Turnaround Management Association and Secured Finance Network.
